Apartment Fire in Edgebrook Area

1 firefighter with minor injury, treated on scene.
PROPERTY SAVED:
$5 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE:
$26 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE:
Unintentional
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the side of a two-story apartment building. As they began an attack on the fire, four trapped residents were rescued by the crew of Ladder 29 from a balcony adjacent to the unit on fire. The residents began to climb down and the crews and civilians assisted them as they jumped. They were evaluated by HFD EMS crews and were not injured. Crews from Stations 93, 36, 23, 26, 52, 61, 70, 71, 94, 17 and 37 responded to this incident.
