Apartment Fire in Clear Lake Area of Houston

The cause was ruled accidental by HFD Arson Investigators.

The crew of Engine 72 was first on scene with smoke coming from the first floor a 2-story apartment building. Firefighters began an attack on the fire and searched the apartment with fire and unit above it. The fire was located and extinguished. It had just started to make its way out of a bathroom. The resident stated that a smoke alarm alerted her to a fire in the bathroom. Firefighters were unable to determine the cause, so arson investigators were requested. Firefighters from Stations 71 and 72 responded to this incident.
