Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from a first floor apartment unit and began an offensive attack. The occupant had been cooking when the food caught on fire and attempted to extinguish the fire without success. The crews extinguished the fire and shut the power off until an electrician could inspect the electrical wiring. Firefighters from Stations 68, 48, 51 and 82 responded to this incident.
