Apartment Fire in Brays Oaks Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with light smoke coming from an apartment unit. Bystanders reported that an occupant was still inside and they were unable to get him out. Crews found the unresponsive victim in the kitchen area and brought him out to waiting EMS crews who began live-saving efforts. The victim, a male in his 50s, was transported to the hospital. The fire was extinguished and crews checked for extension. Firefighters from Stations 82, 2, 59, 68, 48, 51, 80, 37 and 24 responded to this incident.
