Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from an apartment unit. The fire was located in kitchen with flames spreading to the near bedrooms. The crews extinguished the fire which appeared to have started from the stove and checked for extension. Crews conducted salvage and overhaul of the unit and checked the nearby apartments for exposure. Firefighters from Stations 21, 48, 68, 73, 82, 51, 59 and 24 responded to this incident.
