Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 2-story apartment. They located the fire and made an offensive attack. After extinguishing the fire, they checked for extension and conducted salvage and overhaul. The resident had some problems when attempting to turn the heater on and noticed smoke coming from the attic. The electric company removed the main electrical supply service to the apartment after the fire due to the damage. Crews from Stations 82, 2, 59, 68, 48 and 51 responded to this incident.
