Apartment Fire in Braeburn Area of Southwest Houston

The cause was ruled accidental by HFD Arson Investigators.

|
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoking coming from a first floor apartment unit. Crews began an offensive attack on the fire and conducted a primary search in the adjoining apartment units. The fire was knocked down with no extension into any of the other units. The occupant was alerted by a smoke alarm and found a fire in the kitchen. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the resident. Firefighters from Stations 68, 51, 82, 73, 28 and 2 responded to this incident.
