Apartment Fire in Alief Area

Firefighters arrived on scene and found no smoke or fire visible from a 3-story apartment building, however an audible alarm could be heard from one unit. It was determined that there had been a fire in a kitchen and a sprinkler system had extinguished it. Firefighters checked for hotspots and extension. The incident was declared under control and the alarm and sprinkler systems were shut off. Apartment maintenance was on scene and assisted the resident. Crews from Stations 73, 75, 76 and 24 responded to this incident.
