The cause of the leak is unknown at this time

HFD crews responded to a reported gas leak at 10001 Westheimer Rd. in SW Houston. A safety perimeter was established and Westheimer Rd. was temporarily shut down. The incident was deemed under control and tapped out at 4:00 p.m. Westheimer Rd. has reopened westbound but remains closed eastbound.
