Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire and heavy smoke coming from the center of a storage facility building. A coordinated interior attack was attempted, however with fire venting through the roof and a ceiling collapse, the attack was changed to defensive mode. Firefighters used saws to cut through the parking lot side units to extinguish the fire and access the interior units. They worked to try and contain the fire to the center of the building while preventing property loss in the remaining end units. Crews from Stations 5, 69, 2, 15, 28, 78, 83, 10, 27, 49, 57, 60, 68, 73, 75, 76, 86, 90, 21, 8, 37, 24, 33, Rescue 10, Rehab, and Hazmat responded to this incident. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
