CORRECTION = The cause was ruled as accidental by HFD Arson investigators.

|
Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from the second and third floors of a 3-story apartment building. They began an attack on the fire and conducted primary searches. The attic was pulled to expose hot spots and the fire was tapped out just before 2 p.m. The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the residents. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 2, 28, 69, 15, 23, 5, 8, 68, 83, 3, 10, 11, 16, 37, 38, 49, 51, 57, 60, 75, 76, 82, 31, 24, 33, Hazmat, Heavy Rescue 11, Rescue 10, Rehab and the Village Fire Department responded to this incident.
