23 Cadets from HFD Class 2017A will graduate from the Houston Fire Department Training Academy after beginning the academy in late January of this year. This class was a "Certified Firefighter/EMT" class which is made up of members who are State of Texas Firefighters and a Texas Department of State Health Services EMT Basic or Higher.
Special remarks will be given by Mayor Sylvester Turner and HFD Assistant Chief Justin Wells.
The oath of office and badge presentation will be administered by Presiding Judge Elaine Marshall, Municipal Courts and Fire Chief Samuel Peña.
