2-Alarm Apartment Fire in the Brays Oaks Area
WHAT:
2-Alarm Apartment Fire
WHEN:
September 4, 2019 at 7:10 p.m.

INJURIES:
One civilian treated on scene
PROPERTY SAVED:
$900 thousand in estimated property saved
DAMAGE:
$600 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
The cause is undetermined / under investigation
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find  fire coming from two windows of a 2-story apartment building with smoke consuming 16 units. Crews were informed that two children were missing from the apartment on fire, however after a primary search it was confirmed the children had gotten out and were in another apartment unit. One individual was treated on scene for breathing problems. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the residents. The fire was declared under control just after 8 p.m. with crews from Stations 68, 16, 2, 15, 59, 68, 83, 37, 48, 51, 60, 73, 76, 82, 69, 57, Rescue 10 and Rehab responded to this incident.
