It would be impossible to live in Toronto and not take note of the individuals who live beneath our bridges, on our sidewalks, or in our parks.  If it seems like there are increasingly more people homeless today, you are most likely correct.
 
Homelessness is the result of a combination of poverty, a lack of affordable housing and personal circumstances. Its cost in human lives, potential and suffering is not an acceptable situation for any just or compassionate society.

Your contribution makes a huge difference to those we proudly serve each day. Our meal program offers nourishment and so much more.  Many of us may remember our own kitchens as a place for family and friends to gather - where healthy food, community and laughter are shared.
 
I understand that many of our contributors appreciate the close and individual connection they have with our community meal program. There will come a day when you reflect upon your generosity and realize you have given nourishment to a roomful of individuals who are hungry for both food and company.
