Developing Fine Motor Skills and Classroom Applications
Participants in this interactive early childhood 2-part mini-series will dive into ways fine motor skills develop as a prerequisite to handwriting. Whether in person or virtually, teachers can adapt and modify standards and curricula for young students to develop these skills and reach readiness goals. Throughout the series, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate and apply techniques and strategies.
Participants will:
- Understand the theory and best practice of the stages of fine motor development from a clinician’s perspective.
- Explore strategies and resources that can be incorporated in any classroom learning setting.
- Differentiate and modify the classroom environment to best meet the needs of all children.
