Ideas for Action is excited to share some big news this week. The World Bank and the Wharton School’s Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research, in collaboration with UN Women and UNDP, are embarking on an innovative partnership to launch the new SDGs&Her initiative!
This initiative is an online competition that will honor outstanding women micro-entrepreneurs who are supporting the SDGs. The Zicklin Center will also promote knowledge, capacity development, and awareness about the SDGs (particularly concerning their impact on women), while working closely with private sector partners to share best practices and innovative ideas.
The top winners will be recognized at an event during the 2018 UN General Assembly High-Level Week in New York, and our participants’ accomplishments and ideas will be shared prominently on social media. Click here to learn more, and stay tuned for more information on this tremendous opportunity!
It is also our pleasure to share our next group of2018 I4A Regional Finalists from Middle East and North Africa, China, Colombia, Nigeria, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, Uganda, and Rwanda. These teams will be moving on to the next round of judging, but we remain deeply appreciative of the hard work of all of our teams. If your proposal was not chosen to advance to the next round this year, please review the feedback you will be receiving and consider applying again next year to I4A 2019.
Please note: teams who are selected for the 2nd round will not be required or able to submit updated proposals, but those selected for the final 3rd round will be asked to do so. We will be in touch with more details when we reach that stage.
Be sure to check back next week as we announce the next group of 2018 Ideas for Action Regional Finalists!
