December 20, 2018

There are just 10 days left to submit your woman-lead micro-enterprise for the 2019 SDGs&Her competition! The deadline closes December 31, 2018, so be sure to share this information with any interested female micro-entrepreneurs you know who are working toward the SDGs. Thanks to the World Bank Group, we are excited to share a quick yet highly inspirational video about last year's winners.

Last week we were honored to bring one of the phenomenal female I4A winners, Ariane Umagura from Starlight, into a Wharton class where young business students were able to engage in two-way learning along with special guests from the World Bank Group.  At I4A we believe that there is incredible value in bringing the real world to the classroom and vice versa - and our digital experiment did not disappoint. Please read
our blog post about the event to learn more, and keep an eye out for future events.

This week's Social Spotlight brings us
Digiext from Ghana. Digiext aims to use tech-based solutions to improve farming practices across Africa. Read more below, and don't miss your chance to be considered for the social spotlight of the week. Simply share a picture, brief description, or video about your project on Twitter or Facebook and use #Ideas4Action2019.

For our 2019 Ideas for Action friends: be sure to
register your I4A 2019 team today and submit your application as soon as your concept is ready! Also, please forward our newsletter or website to any sustainable development innovators you may know.

As always, thank you all for your indomitable support of I4A and SDGs&Her. And thank you for everything that you do on the local and global scale on behalf of the SDGs.
