HIGHLIGHTS
CESAM's DAY is coming!
 
On the 6th July we will have an open session to all CESAM community starting at 11:00 with a presentation of CESAM by the scientific coordinator, Ana Lillebø, followed by a discussion forum with the presence of the commission of stakeholders. The session will end with the  presentation of the winner of the OP initiative. By 12:45 we will have a shared lunch similarly to what hapened in the previous years.

WORKSHOPS & ADVANCED COURSES
Advanced course on Ecosystem Services Provided by Wetlands
25-29 June 2018 |  Department of Biology, University of Aveiro
 
This course aims to provide knowledge on the environmental biogeochemical processes supporting the ecosystem services (ES) provided by wetlands. Emphasis will be put on ES assessment endpoints for Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA) and also on wetlands management and restoration.
The course is addressed to PhD students with a background in Biology, Natural and Environmental Sciences, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Engineering or Ecology.

Practical EMBO Course on Biomolecular Interaction Analysis 2018: From molecules to cells 
29 October - 03 November 2018 |  i3S, Porto
 
This Practical Course aims at a multidisplinary approach to the study of molecular interactions from and in biological systems, integrating biochemical/biophysical methodologies with live microscopy techniques.
There are grants available from ARBRE-MOBIEU to cover registration and Travel grants from EMBO.

Advanced Course on Microbial Diversity: Methods and Applications is open for registration
23-27 July 2018 |  Department of Biology, University of Aveiro
 
This course aims to address the wide array of methods currently available to explore microbial diversity as well as their potential applications. 
The course includes lectures and hands-on classes. 
Applicants should be scientists or post-graduation students (PhD and MSc) with a background in Biology or related areas.
