Beloved Friends,

The veils are thinning.  I can feel it, can’t you?  This is the season of my daughter’s birth and also of her death.  She waves to me through the steamy window of a pickup truck in a fleeting dream, reminding me that she is still and always with me.  The smell of piñon smoke wafts in with the morning light as our little mountain valley stokes up the kiva fireplace.  Green chile chicken stew and apple crisp.  The last of the aspen leaves lifting off the trees and gathering in golden drifts.  We hike to the tree-line.  We give thanks to our Mother the Earth.

And off I go again.  These homecomings are brief and I drink every sip.  Next stop, the SAND conference (Science and Nonduality) in San Jose.  Day passes are still available, so Bay Area friends: come on over.  It’s one of my favorite gatherings of the year.

Then I return to Taos-Land for a few days, during which I am looking forward to giving a reading with my friend and Rabbi, Judith HaLevy, on November 2nd right here in my hometown.  I think I’ll read some of the Wild Mercy outtakes, featuring my colorful family. Here's the link to the event.

On Friday, November 8, I will be offering a night of wild mercy at The Well in La Grange Park outside Chicago.  I am looking forward to connecting with this heart-centered community and sharing provocative passages from the book and responding to questions. For more information, visit HERE.

On Saturday, November 9, I will be leading a full-day retreat at the iconic Infinity Foundation in downtown Chicago (where I have just discovered we may expect the presence of a very special surprise guest).  In this gathering we will explore women’s wisdom across the spiritual spectrum and take it into the cells of our own bodies with chanting & silence, writing practice & deep dialog. For more information, visit HERE.

On Sunday, November 10, I will give a Wild Mercy reading and talk at the Siena Center in Racine, Wisconsin, followed by a deep dive into the fierce and tender wisdom of women mystics from multiple sacred traditions the following day, November 11.  I am deeply moved by the work of the sisters who are hosting us and looking forward to thanking them in person for all the ways they lift up those on the margins and offer sustenance to thirsty pilgrims. For more information, visit HERE.

From there I head to my beloved SDI community (Spiritual Directors International) in Bellevue, WA, on November 12 to join Ann Holmes Redding for a very special evening presentation on the power of the feminine to connect us to the web of interbeing that welcomes us all home.  My friend Ann dropped a powerful stone into the waters several years ago when, as a respected Episcopal priest, she “came out” as also a Muslim, showing the world how to love the One from the wellspring of more than a single faith tradition.  Expect a gathering that is both subversive and tender, rooted in practice and open to surprise. For more information, visit HERE.

Finally, I’m off to Dallas on November 15 & 16 for the annual SPELL Symposium at White’s Chapel where I will present some of the artifacts I have excavated from my sacred feminine archeology dig.  If you are anywhere nearby, I hope you will join me in lifting up the jewels of women’s wisdom across the landscape of the human spirit. For more information, visit HERE.

Then, home for the winter, where I get to nestle into my cave until early February.  Ahh.

I leave you with this treasure, with my love:

I highly recommend Dr. Judith Orloff's new book Thriving as an Empath: 365 Days of Self-Care for Sensitive People. If you want a year’s worth of daily tools to put into action, this book is for you. Get book +free gifts HERE.

If Wild Mercy is resonating for you, would you be so kind as to post a review on Amazon?  That helps drive sales and get this little book into many more hands.
