NEW FACILITATION GUIDE: PEER LEARNING WITH ADAPTATION POLICY-MAKERS
Based on approaches piloted by the NAP Global Network through eight Targeted Topic Forums, this facilitation guide was developed for people who want to hold inclusive, participatory events that make progress toward adaptation, while moving away from presentation-heavy meetings. The guide is available in French, English or Spanish.

GUEST BLOG: GCF WORKING PAPER ON ADAPTATION AND CLIMATE FINANCING
Last April at Korea Global Adaptation Week, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) launched a new working paper, Adaptation: Accelerating Action Towards a Climate Resilient Future, to contribute to adaptation knowledge from the perspective of climate financing. Yannick Glemarec, GCF Executive Director, introduced the topic in the paper’s preface, which was also shared on the NAP Global Network’s blog—check it out here.
NETWORK SECRETARIAT IN ACTION: NAP GLOBAL NETWORK AT WOMEN DELIVER 2019
From June 3 to 6, the NAP Global Network Secretariat will be in Vancouver for the Women Deliver 2019 Conference, the world’s largest conference on gender equality and the health, rights and well-being of girls and women in the 21st century. On June 5 at 11:20 AM PST, Angie Dazé, Associate with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), will present a Power Talk addressing gender equality in climate change adaptation that will be live streamed. - Read the UNFCCC Secretariat’s new blog summarizing the NAP Expo 2019 key outcomes.
- Saint Lucia’s Department of Sustainable Development is launching a Climate Change Research Policy and Strategy as part of ongoing efforts to enhance engagement on climate change under their NAP process.
- Thailand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives hosted a workshop to enhance its technical capacity on climate change adaptation M&E in the country’s agriculture sectors.
- A recent NAP Readiness “Writeshop” in Samoa brought together Pacific and Caribbean representatives to build on each other’s experiences and share lessons.
- Read UnaMay Gordon, Principal Director of Jamaica’s Climate Change Division, and her colleagues’ new policy brief, Putting the Private Sector at the Centre of Climate-Smart Agriculture, which looks at experiences from Jamaica, Kenya, Ethiopia and southern Africa.
