The Guide to Cassette Sticker Labels

Sticker labels are an excellent choice for cassettes if you want to show off a killer design in vivid colours while keeping costs low. Something to keep in mind when graphic designing is that our stickers aren't one size fits all, we actually have a few models to choose from. Some mesh better with certain cassette shells than others. Here's an overview of our different cassette label templates to make your next cassette duplication order even easier!

NO WINDOW

These sticker labels have been custom designed for our exclusive line of windowless shells. There’s no knockout in the center area, making more room for your artistic masterpiece.

Pairs with:
Windowless opaque shells
Tinted or transparent shells with a flat surface

SQUARE HUB WINDOW

Printed sticker label for squares! These are to be used with our black or white “Square Hub Window” cassette shells. The standard printed labels are rounded, and these are, well, square. We may have more Square Hub Window cassette colours available in the future, keep a lookout in your email inbox!

Square Hub Window cassette shells

WIDE FIT

Wide Fit labels are intended for use with shells that have a wide face area. The raised area on the side of these shells have a width of about 1.5mm, as opposed to other shells which have a raised area of about 4mm. In the end, that’s a 5mm difference of potential artwork!

Pairs with:
Shells with wider faces, their SKUs often ending with SW, SWL, or SW2.

STANDARD WHITE

These smooth labels have diagonal corners on the top with rounded corners on the bottom. In addition to the regular matte stock is a high gloss version which gives your colours an extra shine. Our 12-up sheets (which is to say 12 labels per page) allow for full bleed, so you can make your images extra large to ensure no artwork will be cut off at the printers.

Pairs with:
All shells, but particularly better with the standard sized raised edges on the left and right sides.
Fits perfectly with shells that have diagonal edges on the top corners of the face area.

SQUARE BOTTOM CORNERS

These are similar to the Standard White labels, but instead of rounded corners they have square corners at the bottom. These do not allow for full bleed, so if you’re not careful with your home printing you may find that some of the artwork at the bottom of the label may appear at the top due to a shaky printer. For this reason we suggest using solid colour backgrounds, like the Mothra Stewart tape above (great band name.)

Pairs with:
Cassette shells that have square corners at the bottom of the face area.

CL4RC

CL4RC means 4 Rounded Corners, and it looks exactly as it sounds! Like all the standard cassette labels, it includes a knockout oval for cassettes with raised center areas.

Pairs with:
Just about anything, but looks best when the cassette shell has rounded corners and standard width raised edges on the side.

All these sticker label types are available with cassette packages, as printed material with your custom artwork, or as blank sheets for home printing!
