At Analogue Media Technologies Inc. we do everything we can to ensure the safe arrival of your order. Whether it’s duplicated cassettes, cases, or printed covers, the last thing you want to receive is damaged goods. Unfortunately, no matter how much extra packaging or bubble wrap we place to protect your products, once the package leaves our facility its in the hands of complete strangers. Every once in a long while something bad can happen in transport, whether it’s an overzealous toss or a jam in the sorting facility conveyer belt.

Fortunately we have some helpful tips to avoid receiving a damaged package! Keep them in mind next time you place an order.

1) Choose UPS Saver, UPS Express, or UPS Expedited

It’s come to our attention that these three options go through a different shipping workflow than UPS Standard. These quicker shipping methods often bypass the heavily trafficked sorting facilities, delivering your package straight from our doors to yours. No more conveyer belt jams, no more drops. UPS Expedited has only a slight increase in price for a quicker delivery and safer arrival (estimated 2 business days!), making it the best value for your buck.

2) Avoid porch pirates with ‘Signature Required on Delivery’

The reason you’re hearing about porch pirates so much is because of the huge influx of packages that are simply left on door steps by shipping companies and Amazon. For an additional fee UPS allows for a ‘signature required’ option. This will guarantee that your package will only be dropped off at your home by having someone sign for it at your door. Your package will no longer be left unattended by your doorstep for hours at a time.

3) Double your protection with double boxing

Ever receive a package with dings on the corner, or it looks like a giant cat took a chomp out of a side? By placing a box within a box, a second layer of packaging will go a long way from protecting your goods from unwanted mishaps. Double boxing can be added as an additional item when ordering from the online shop, we recommend them for cassette cases and CD jewel boxes.
