HOW TO MAKE YOUR CASSETTES STAND OUT FROM THE PACK

As more and more artists release albums on cassette, the market suddenly feels a little crowded. Years ago simply releasing your album on tape would grab attention, but now you may be thinking of adding some pizazz to your packaging to really turn heads at the merch table and get some bio link clicks on Instagram. Here’s a few way to make your tapes POP !

Diamond Cassettes

Elegant, lavish, and even seductive. These are just a few adjectives that come to mind when gazing into these ultra reflective cassette shells. Coated with a painted silver finish, they absolutely shine under any ray of light, and look awesome pad printed. Check out the video above to see them in action.

Obi-Strips

日本から輸入したアルバムをレコード店で見つけたことを覚えていますか?
(Translation) Remember spotting imported albums from Japan in record stores?

Our cassette obi-strips emulate the style of a Japanese release! Printed obi-strips traditionally had an album description or a price for consumer interest, but you can use this slip of canvas however you like! They can even be designed horizontally, also known as “belly-bands”.

Laser Etching

If you want your music to cut deep and leave a mark, then let your customers known before they even hear a note! We can do laser engraving directly to the face of the cassette, permanently etching your vector artwork design. The same can be done with Norelco cassette cases, making the box an important and unique part of your artwork.

Slipcases

Special editions are a great way to commemorate album releases, whether it’s an anniversary reissue or a deluxe version with b-sides, instrumentals, live recordings, and more. Like home video releases, a tried and true package for special releases is the printed slipcase.

We have two versions: the Norelco O-Card, which has openings on the top and bottom of the cassette. The other is the Norelco Slipcase, which has an opening on the right side, allowing the cassette to be easily removed with the help of the thumbhole on the top and bottom.

Uncoated J-Cards

Beneath the hood of slipcases and cassette boxes lies the J-card, an unfurling scroll of artwork and liner notes for you to design to your heart’s content. Our standard J-cards are printed on our bright and vivid Cougar™ Super Smooth cardstock, with the option to choose uncoated printing. Uncoated means your paper won’t appear or feel glossy, but instead have a rougher matte texture. The tangible feeling of the paper gives the J-card an unquestionably artistic texture, as if printed with painting material as opposed to ink. Must be seen, and felt, to be believed!

Uncoated J-Cards are available by special request. Mention it in the ‘Notes’ section of your order and we’ll hit you back with an updated quote!
