There is a Polycarbonate Shortage in the CD/DVD Industry

You may have heard that there’s a shortage of polycarbonate material that’s currently rocking the CD / DVD industry.
We’d like to take a moment to inform artists and labels that Duplication.ca is not affected by the shortage. We are able to manufacture CDs and DVDs at full capacity.

Polycarbonate is the material used to create the transparent disc in CD production. While the polycarbonate is molded into shape the digital audio/video bits are pressed into it with a stamper, just like vinyl records. Polycarbonate is used thanks to its durability and transparency, and is the backbone of the CD manufacturing industry.
