New global effort on climate change targets 3% increase
in energy efficiency per year
|
|
A new coalition of countries, businesses and international organizations, the Three Percent Club, have committed to driving a three percent global increase in energy efficiency each year – a move that can help limit climate change and increase global prosperity.
Through the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency, UNEP DTU Partnership has been involved in concept definition and overall coordination leading up to the launch of the 3% club at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York last month.

Research from UNEP DTU Partnership was part of the science behind the policy decisions, as world leaders met to increase the ambition for climate action in New York at the UN Secretary Generals Climate Action Summit in September.
UNEP DTU and other of the world’s leading climate science organizations joined forces to produce a new landmark report The United in Science report.
