In Memoriam: Deir Yassin
This year’s protests on FCD come one day following the 70th anniversary of the massacre of over 100 Palestinian men, women and children by Jewish militias in the village of Deir Yassin (April 9, 1948). This was one of several mass atrocities committed by Jewish forces against Palestinian civilians in the ethnic cleansing campaign of Palestine, 1948-49.
