Calls to Action:
First Friday Volunteers
Every month, the Lakeland Democratic Club and Polk County Democrats man a tent at Lakeland First Friday downtown. Volunteers are always needed to help register voters and meet those interested in what the party is doing at the local level. Stop by to assist or show your support between 6-9 pm on Nov 5. To register your interest in helping, click here.
The theme for November's First Friday is Buffalo Soldier Night, and there will be a brief parade with motorcycles and horseback riders down Kentucky Ave. from Lemon St. to the Munn Park Parking Lot.
Voter Registration at weekly Lakeland Downtown Farmers
Whether you can attend 1-2 hours or more, and weekly or once a month, please sign up to help the Polk County Democratic Party during this popular Lakeland event, held every Saturday. Click here.
This is a big market, with lots of members of our target groups, including young people and new residents.
You can work a 1-2 hour shift any time during market hours (9 am - 2 pm). We are not allowed to set up a table, so you will be standing on a corner with your clipboard.
Full training and all materials provided.
Please note that bilingual volunteers are needed.
