b a z e n is a nomad base for independent artists within the contemporary performing arts with a special interest in interdisciplinary artworks.

Based in Lisbon, b a z e n offers tailor-made support for each artist and project, building a side by side partnership with a logic of exchange economy. This support may range from pre-production to production management, communication to fundraising, touring to post-production.

b a z e n's priority is artistic creation while offering project-based or long-term guidance for selected works of emerging artists, reflecting together on development of performances, shows, residencies, educational projects, cultural actions, publications and exhibitions. Thus in b a z e n, artistic creation, curation, production and research intersect, run parallel to and complete each other.

Artists, collectives and institutions are welcome to build unique and sustainable projects for common goals in close partnership.
