eBird Pro Tip: Mobile Quick Entry

Probably the best part about eBird Mobile is quick entry. At the top of any active checklist, there is a text field. Type a number, a space, and part of a bird's name (or four-letter quick code), and then tap on the correct search result to add that number to that species. Learn more about quick entry.

Deadline this week for Young Birders Event

Applications for the 2018 Cornell Lab Young Birders Event are due on 15 March. Share with any young birders you may know! Learn more.

Welcome to the Maine Bird Atlas!

This past week marked the launch of the Maine Bird Atlas eBird portal: a dedicated Breeding Bird Atlas portal that will be gathering information on Maine's birds over the next five years. If you'll be in Maine in the next few years, see how you can be a part of it: learn more.

Get your photo on eBird's homepage!

With the new eBird homepage, there are dynamic photo and audio feeds that update constantly based on the ratings of the community. Add your best media and you could have one of that day's top photos!

Want to get better at birding by ear?

If so, go eBirding in March! Each eligible checklist submitted in March gives you a shot to win 1 of 10 free spots in the Cornell Lab's Bird Song Identification course. See more.

eBirder of the Month

Get your cameras ready! In March, submit 15 or more eligible checklists containing at least one rated photo or sound to be in the running for eBirder of the Month and free Zeiss binoculars. Read more.
