What Christmas Means to Us
Dear Reader,
With just 71 days till Christmas, it’s time to reflect on the meaning of Christmas.
For some it’s about family and friends, love and respect. An opportunity to look back on the year, and ponder the eternal verities.
For us, it is mainly about selling merchandise. As the Dalai Lama once said, "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least sell them merchandise in the lead up to Christmas.”
Therefore, I’d like to unveil some of the wonderful new pieces of merch that we’re selling this year.
As always, The Chaser Annual is returning again. The Chaser has been coming out since the year 2000, which either shows what an enduring format it is, or that we really need to come up with a new idea.

Since 2016, we’ve teamed up with The Shovel to produce it, mainly so we only have to write half as much as we’d otherwise have to.
But we've also moved into newer areas of merchandise. Last year we produced this beach towel:

It sold out in about 20 minutes. This year, we have decided to expand the range and produce a range of beach towels, including The Scott Morrison Inaction Figure beach towel, which is selling fast and will almost certainly sell out in the coming days:

But even if they sell out, luckily we also got some Gladys Berejiklian beach towels printed up.

Unfortunately, much like her response to the Covid outbreak in Bondi, the towels arrived incredibly late - in fact, they only arrived on the same day she resigned in disgrace. So grab one of these “collector” items, to commemorate her bad response to Delta, and our bad business decision-making ability.
Finally, I should note that there are still a few packs of towel paper left. We found a few extra four-packs when we were going through everything the other day. The perfect gift for anyone living in Melbourne.

So there you go, the meaning of Christmas. Just like the Dalai Lama said it should be.

WAR ON 2021 LIVE SHOW
Our end of year live show "The War on 2021" is happening! If you live in NSW or ACT, and you're fully vaccinated, you can book tickets to our shows across the state. As for most of the other states, strangely your governments don't seem to want Covid-19 sloshing around, so we’re going to have to postpone until next year. If you’ve already bought tickets, you will be contacted in the coming weeks and offered a new date, or a full refund. For our Melbourne show, we’re still holding out hope, so save the date. Fingers crossed!
