Our climate change commitments

Dear Reader,Here at The Chaser, we've known about the dangers of climate change for years. That's why, five years ago, we made a commitment to work towards setting a framework to work out a goal of coming up with a target of what that commitment may, or may not, look like.

And we want to reassure you we're on track to set that goal towards coming up with a timeframe during which we will propose a provisional schedule within which we will timeline a date that will see us set a target towards a goal of establishing a framework of agendas that may or may not result in what could constitute a non-binding target for climate change goal-setting.

We recognise the need for action on climate is urgent, but it would be silly to rush these things to meet some sort of arbitrary deadline that we've known about for only five years. Surely, it's better to get these things right than to risk rushing into it and getting it wrong. What if we accidentally overshot the mark, and accidentally achieved our climate goals too quickly? We'd never forgive ourselves.

So when you hear people criticising us for being "too slow to act" or "not setting good enough targets" or "being totally fucking useless" in the coming weeks, please remember that our plan to not have a plan was actually part of the plan all along.

NEW BEACH TOWELS
We've just launched an all-new design of beach towel. The Scott Morrison Inaction Figure beach towels are in the Chaser Shop and they're selling fast, so they won't last long. Check them out.

WAR ON 2021 LIVE SHOW
Our end of year live show "The War on 2021" is happening! If you live in NSW or ACT, and you're fully vaccinated, you can book tickets to our shows across the state. As for most of the other states, strangely your governments don't seem to want Covid-19 sloshing around, so we’re going to have to postpone until next year. If you’ve already bought tickets, you will be contacted in the coming weeks and offered a new date, or a full refund. For our Melbourne show, we’re still holding out hope, so save the date. Fingers crossed!
