A message of hope

Dear Reader,

This week, after watching the debate, I felt for the first time a tingling of hope in my loins for the ailing republic.

Until now, I’ve been a Biden skeptic. How can a man who is older than my incoherent great uncle, who doesn’t believe in free health care even during a pandemic, whose main donors are psychopathic CEOs who gut the real economy to feed wealthy investors, who had to buy off half the field in the primaries because he polled so badly early on, who has funded the US war machine longer than I’ve been alive and who sits at the top of a system that tore apart the lives of working families in the past few decades and driven them into intergenerational poverty, win the election, I asked myself?

But then I watched the debate. And that brought great clarity.

This is not about Biden being any good in any way. Sure, he represents the mistakes of the past rather than the hope of a better future. Sure, he has less dynamism than a soggy cup of chips. Sure, a Labrador of below-average intelligence could run America better than him.

This is about what Biden isn’t. Sure, he may be a war mongering, anti-free health care shill for corporate America. But he’s NOT Donald Trump.

And that’s the kind of hopeful message that America can rally behind. By being the absolute bare-minimum of acceptability and nothing more, the Democrats have truly got themselves a winner in Biden.

It seems to me there’s no way that this strategy is going to backfire.

With the world on the brink of collapse, it's important not to rely on experts just because they "know more" about stuff than you do. This book delves into the key philosophical movement of our time: the move away from expert's and their annoying experty expertise.

  • Did you know that climate change graphs look very different indeed if you turn them upside down?
  • Have you ever noticed the alarming number of celebrities who have been vaccinated and then later died?
  • Did you know that over 99% of people who die in car crashes have eaten sultanas at some point in their life? And yet the government refuses to ban sultanas!

This book is sure to alarm even the most level-headed conspiracy theorist. This book takes on topics that others fear to address for fear of looking like a total idiot.
