Stand up for the freedom to forge

Dear Reader,

By now you've probably heard that the Australian Federal Police has dropped its investigation into how the Energy Minister Angus Taylor got his hands on forged documents that allowed him to attack Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore over travel expenses.

A lot of people have criticised the AFP, saying they're turning a blind eye to the forging of official documents. But here at The Chaser we endorse the AFP's bold pro-forgery stance. It's not often that the nation's foremost law enforcement agency gives a green light to one of our favourite hobbies.

Anyway, in other news, Angus Taylor has generously decided to give The Chaser $80 million. If you don't believe us, here is the document that proves it's true:

Anyway, I've got to run. I'm about to board a flight to the Cayman Islands. Don't worry -- it's all above board. Clover Moore bought me the flight. Apparently she just expensed to the City of Sydney Council.
