The power of multi-sectoral governance to address malnutrition in Uganda and Zambia and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals is highlighted in a technical brief from Sustainable Nutrition for All.
Narrowing the Gaps: The power of investing in the poorest children,” a UNICEF report, presents evidence that the number of lives saved per million dollars invested among the poorest children is almost twice as high as the number saved by equivalent investments in less deprived groups.

The Ghana Trade and Livelihoods Coalition urged communities in Ghana to invest in nutrition for improved development outcomes during a recent meeting to share survey results on food security and nutrition in the Upper East Region.

Farming First is hosting a five-week countdown taking an in-depth look at each of the five targets within Sustainable Development Goal 2. The online campaign culminates at an Agriculture and Food Day on July 13 alongside the United Nations High-Level Political Forum tracking progress on the SDGs.

Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, will be recognized as the 2017 World Food Prize Laureate for his leading role in expanding food production in Nigeria, increasing credit availability for smallholder farmers, and galvanizing political will to transform African agriculture.
