After carefully and prayerfully discerning the leadership and direction of CCT, the Steering Committee would like to announce that we have selected Dr. Monica Schaap Pierce as our Interim Executive Director, beginning October 1, 2021. Her appointment follows the resignation of Executive Director Carlos Malave, earlier this year.
The Steering Committee made this decision based on Monica’s commendable ecumenical experience and professional achievements. She holds degrees from Fordham University (PhD in Systematic Theology) and Trinity Lutheran Seminary (MTS and STM), and also brings experience in managing the ecumenical portfolio of the Reformed Church in America and teaching and speaking in churches and universities. Monica will work with the Presidents and Steering Committee to advance our way towards our strategic vision and mission of CCT until the permanent Executive Director is selected some time by mid-2022.
