Google News Creator Endows New Chair 

Computational journalism has a long history at Georgia Tech. One of the early pioneers was alumnus Krishna Bharat (MS CS 1993, Ph.D. CS 1996) who was working the field literally before there was a field. This week, Bharat – the creator of Google News – returned to campus to announce a new endowed faculty chair for Computational Journalism at GT Computing.
