Making Cybersecurity Social

Our lives—or, at least, important pieces of them—are increasingly being stored in the digital cloud. This gives us easy access but also poses significant security challenges to protecting those pieces. The stakes are high and new School of Interactive Computing Assistant Professor Sauvik Das says it is time to change the way people think about, adopt, and adapt to cybersecurity measures. • The Institute for Data Engineering and Science (IDEaS) is hosting its Data Science Industry Day on March 28. Industry Day is an opportunity for local industry to have a two-way conversation with faculty and students on pressing data science issues. Organizers are soliciting student posters and suggestions for industry speakers. Additional details are available online.
