Barely 15 percent of computer science faculty in North America are women, which means there aren’t a lot of role models for undergraduate women in CS, which means they are less likely to pursue advanced CS degrees, which means fewer of them will be faculty roles models for undergraduate women in CS, which means they are less likely to pursue advanced CS degrees… You get the point.
