Computing Through the Looking Glass

GT Computing researchers are exploring the future of computing through the looking glass that is the human visual cortex. Assistant Professor Nabil Imam thinks that computers can become more efficient and more powerful by modeling the human visual cortex in hardware and software development. In fact, he's developed a microchip architecture that is a potentially big step toward making brain-inspired computing a reality.
