Revolutionizing Heart Surgery

GT Computing Assistant Professor Matthew Gombolay was 20 years old when he was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia and had to have heart surgery to avoid serious health complications. Now, he's using a new $2.1 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to study how robotics can improve and minimize the risks of open-heart surgery.
