Following a national search, Georgia Tech’s own Vivek Sarkar has been named dean and John P. Imlay Jr. Chair of the College of Computing, effective June 1.
Congratulations to professor and former dean Zvi Galil for being recognized with an honorary degree from Columbia University. Galil, who was dean of Columbia Engineering from 1995 to 2007, will receive a Doctor of Letters degree during a ceremony on May 15.
