So what is in store for carbon & energy management as we move into the autumn 2017?

 Getting started on your ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 transition
We've said it before, but we know that still a relatively low proportion of organisations have made the transition across to the new Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Quality Management (ISO 9001) standards.
You have now just over a year to complete the transition.
- Our experience is that SME businesses are taking approximately 6 months to complete the process (including finishing the external audit & certification). Some SMEs are taking longer if they have complex business operations (e.g. manufacturing and logistics).
- Large businesses frequently can take longer than 6 months - again related to their business model complexity and number of sites. These businesses will need to demonstrate strong communications and top level management involvement, that they may not have done in the past.

 Schools Tree Planting gets Underway ....and Avoiding Deforestation
This autumn we already plan to plant over 10,000 trees in UK and Republic of Ireland schools. These will be planted in 12 mainland regions, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. We already have 10 Corporate Tree Planting events planned for individual clients who are getting their teams involved in the planting.
All of our Tree Planting is also buddied with a unique Brazil Amazon avoided deforestation project that guarantees the carbon offset - so for every tree planted 1 tonne carbon dioxide is saved. Also the biodiversity is protected both at home and within the Amazon Rainforest, which is one of the most important but endangered regions of the world.
