The challenge of achieving the 2030 Agenda is too complex for any stakeholder to tackle alone. Public, private and civil society stakeholders need to join their expertise and resources for SDG implementation, as outlined in SDG 17.
 
The private sector has a critical role to play in achieving Agenda 2030. In developing countries, business operations constitute 60 percent of the GDP, while creating 90 percent of jobs and 80 percent of capital inflow.
 
Within this context, the Permanent Mission of Turkey in partnership with UNDP’s Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) are pleased to invite you to a high level side event on the margins of 72nd UN General Assembly entitled "Partnerships for Inclusive Growth: Private sector investment in the SDGs."
 
The event will underline the catalytic role of partnerships in advancing market-based opportunities for all, and will bring together business leaders, policy makers and development practitioners. The event will also highlight the breakthrough initiatives spearheaded by the IICPSD with the support of the Government of Turkey and other partners.
