Dear Resident,
Coronavirus is the greatest challenge our country has faced in decades.
I know that this will be an extremely difficult time for families, friends and for many of the most vulnerable members of our local community. The situation remains very serious, but we will get through it – together.
A huge national effort is underway to combat the disease and we must all play our part in this fight.
The single most important thing that you can do is to stay at home. By doing so, you’re protecting some of the most vulnerable in our community, supporting NHS staff on the front-line and saving lives.
The response from members of the community across Bromsgrove District has been fantastic, with families, friends, neighbours and community groups supporting one another.
I will continue do all that I can to support our community through this difficult time and as ever, if you need my assistance, please do get in touch via sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk

NHS Coronavirus advice
COVID-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It's caused by a virus called Coronavirus.
Stay at home if you have either:
- a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
- a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
You do not need to contact 111 to tell them that you're staying at home.
Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you're staying at home.
Go to NHS.uk/coronavirus for information about the virus and how to protect yourself.

#ThankYouNHS
Every Thursday evening, we Clap for Our Carers to show our support for NHS staff and front-line responders.
It's always fantastic to see so much support in our local area, so thank you for taking the time to show your appreciation.
The government is working hard to support the NHS in any way that it can.
A military-sized operation is underway to ensure the supply of PPE, with millions of items of PPE distributed every single day.
A comprehensive action plan to increase testing for NHS staff has been put in place, all NHS debt has been removed - a massive boost to Worcestershire hospitals; and NHS workers will get free car parking.
I'm in regular contact with Worcestershire Acute Hospital Trust, Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG - who will continue to have my full support.
