SOY GEORGIA is our new civic engagement campaign launched on Sept 30th,  as a continuation of our historical and successful campaign, "Georgia Decidete" which increased not only the Latino vote but the participation of our whole community in 2018.

SOY GEORGIA is an improved version which offers workshop training to the general public so that we can all foment "La Cultura del Voto".
Join us! We need all of you! Together we will debunk the myth!

Soy Georgia
The Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights hosted two community meetings for the first two quarters of the month.  Community members and volunteers canvassed areas in Dekalb and Gwinnett in where we implemented our ICE Free Zone.
The organization was invited to The Other Side of Immigration film screening at the Charis Book Store, where it provided perspective about immigration issues. Furthermore, the work continues is the streets, GLAHR hosted the "No Tech for ICE" outside of Amazon's web services office in Buckhead along with the Metro Atlanta Democratic Socialists of America, IUPAT and student organizers from Georgia Tech and Georgia State University.
Continuing, our Soy Georgia campaign we had an informational training with La Gente de Cobb about the importance of voting and the various process to register to vote.
During the weekends, we partook in out ICE Chaser campaign in where we visited apartments and patrol the city for any potential ICE activity. In addition, we also took advantage of this time to give "Know Your Rights" information to our community members as they were on their way to work.
These are some of the few activities the Georgia Latino Alliance partook to inform and defend immigrants' rights.
