Board of Supes Meets TOMORROW to Reveal Plan for Joe Rodota Trail Encampment
TOMORROW - TUESDAY DECEMBER 17 -  8:30 AM
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CHAMBER, 575 Administration Drive

The Board of Supervisors will discuss - and hopfully vote on - plans for addressing the homeless encampment on the Joe Rodota Trail TOMORROW (Tuesday, December 17). The meeting starts at 8:30, and this is the second item after the consent calendar. We're not sure exactly what time this portion of the meeting will start, as the prior item relates to cannabis - another controversial topic which often draws a crowd.

The proposals include creating an indoor/outdoor shelter at the Fairgrounds and a Safe Parking program on County property. The document does NOT include any discussion about Regional Park policies or processes to ensure the trail remains open in the future.

The Press Democrat ran a lengthy piece on the issue Saturday. The North Bay Bohemian ran our editorial last week.

You can download the agenda for tomorrow's meeting here. Our issue is item #44. If you click on the embedded link (2019-1767), you can access the staff report and budget resolution.
