A fun and competitive weekend is in store at Georgia 4-H’s State Council. 4-H’ers throughout the state will spend a weekend at Rock Eagle where they will take classes, meet friends, and compete in various games and sports in order for their district to win the Iron Clover. 4-H20 Day Camp

4-H'ers will spend three days learning about water through agriculture, ecosystems, food and fun. A t-shirt will be provided. This activity is open to rising 5th - 9th graders.

Every year, Georgia 4-H’ers from across the state compete to grow the heaviest watermelon. Contest results will be announced on August 3, 2024. The Georgia 4-H Watermelon Growing Contest is sponsored through the generous support of the The Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association along with the Georgia Watermelon Association.

Senior camp for Sumter County 4-H 9th - 12th graders will be held at Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega, Georgia. For the 2024 camping season high school 4-H youth will have the opportunity to camp one of two weeks during the summer, June 24 - 28, 2024, or July 1 - 5, 2024.
