The 4-H staff is already hard at work preparing for an exciting 2025–2026 school year, full of fresh ideas and new opportunities! As we plan upcoming programs and events, we want to make sure we're meeting the needs of our 4-H families. Please take a few minutes to complete the 2025 Needs Assessment. On Wednesday, June 18th, the Forsyth County 4-H staff will travel with county 4th-8th graders to Smithgall Woods State Park where we will learn about arachnids and orienteering. After eating our packed lunch (coolers provided) we will head to Helen Water Park for some fun in the sun. Drop off 8am, pickup 5pm. Cost is $45.
All 4th-12th grade youth, join us on Monday, July 21st and get ready for an exciting outdoor adventure at our Geocaching in North Georgia Summer Day Camp! We will explore the beautiful landscapes of North Georgia while learning how to use GPS technology to search for hidden treasures. Drop off at 9am, pick-up is 4pm. Lunch is included for this day camp. Cost is $25.
4th-12th graders can join the Forsyth County staff for our annual Dahlonega Day on Tuesday, July 29th. This exciting day includes a visit to the Crisson Gold Mine and a tubing trip down the Chestatee River! Your child will need to bring a packed lunch, coolers provided. Drop off is 9am and our expected return time is 4:30pm. Cost is $50.

Camp registration is now open! In 2025, Forsyth County 4-H will attend Cloverleaf Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega from July 7-11. Cost is $450 and includes transportation, meals, all activities, a camp t-shirt, and insurance for the week. A non-refundable deposit of $88 is required during registration.
Registration is now open for Georgia 4-H State Council. State 4-H Council, a Georgia 4-H core program, is the constitutional meeting of the Georgia 4-H Council and will include the election of Georgia 4-H State Officers. This annual meeting hosts multiple events, competitions, and training for youth and adults throughout the weekend. CLICK HERE for more information and registration information.
The always popular 4-H Archery program is opening for registration in July. Our returning archers will register from July 7-11. The private link will be emailed to returning families. The remaining spots for the team will be open for registration on July 15th at 7:30am. We are making some changes to the archery program this year, visit our website to see what we have planned!
