New Music

Some of our favorite recent releases.

Brian recommends...

Fever Dream

mxmtoon

mxmtoon is a singer named Maia out of California who gained attention for her debut album that was recorded in her parents' guest bedroom. This is her latest single.

Ray recommends...

So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth

Grimes

A very ethereal song, almost reminded me Cocteau Twins a bit.

Brian recommends...

Cool for a Second

Yumi Zouma

I've been a big fan of New Zealand band Yumi Zouma since there EP II released back in 2015. It had been a couple years since a new release, but their new album is set for release March 13.

Ray recommends...

Like a Movie

Labrinth

Definitely an unusual song and not my normal style, but I definitely thought it was something that should be shared.

New to You and Throwbacks

These are some our favorites that are not necessarily new.

Brian recommends...

Fire Drill

Dessa

Dessa is Margret Wander who is also a member of the indie hip hop band Doomtree. This song came out in 2018 but I only just discovered it.

Ray recommends...

Velouria

The Pixies

I was saddened to realize I had only ever selected the Pixies once before, so please accept this gem as a form of apology.

Brian recommends...

Diamonds Are Forever

Para Despues

I was rummaging through some of my old 90s techno/dance stuff and came across this gem from an album that was a bit of a mixed bag but this one is a definite highlight.

Ray recommends...

Zen Drums

Bibio

I promise 99% of you are going to *despise* this song, but I absolutely love it. One of the best parts of Silicon Valley was the songs selected for the end credits. This was from one of the final shows.
