Welcome to the October 2017 edition of Sajid Javid MP's newsletter
WELCOME

I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be hosting my second annual Bromsgrove Pensioners Advice and Information Fair on Friday 3rd November. The Fair will be held from 10am until noon at Parkside, next to Bromsgrove Library.

This Fair, which is free to attend and exhibit, will be showcasing the best of Bromsgrove’s services, societies and social clubs. The event last year captured our community at its best and was a great success. We had over 45 exhibitors on the day, including Age UK, Oakhouse Foods, West Mercia Police and the Artrix.

We already have over 35 exhibitors confirmed for this year including The Bromsgrove Society, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, Citizens Advice and our sponsor First Bus Worcestershire.

If you would like to get involved please get in touch.

I’m pleased that unemployment in Bromsgrove continues to remain low at 1%. Great progress, but as always there’s more to do.

It's important for me to hear your comments, thoughts, and feedback, so please don't hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Sajid Javid
Member of Parliament for Bromsgrove
RECENT ACTIVITY
I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to open the Dementia Community Roadshow in Wythall. This was part of a series of events making a practical difference in the lives of constituents with Dementia and their carers, and a valuable step on the road to making Wythall a Dementia Friendly Community.
I enjoyed celebrating A.F. Blakemore and Son’s 100th Birthday with Bromsgrove SPAR to raise money for the NSPCC. A.F. Blakemore and Son are a great example of a family owned, West Midlands based company that take pride in their local community.
Well done to Bromsgrove's Emily Faulkner (10) who has raised over £4000 towards her goal of installing a life-saving defibrillator in every school in the Bromsgrove District. Keep up the good work!
This month we celebrated farmers and their contribution to our constituency on Back British Farming Day. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you to Fairfield First School for hosting a positive meeting with members of the community in Fairfield Village. We had a productive discussion on a variety of issues including road safety and the Green Belt.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Bromsgrove Business Lunch at Hagley Hall. It's always a privilege to speak at these events, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the attendees.
I was pleased to meet Superintendent Williamson last week to discuss local policing issues, and to thank West Mercia Police for everything they do to keep us safe.
It was a pleasure to join local telecoms provider Armstrong Bell at Grafton Manor to celebrate their incredible success and expansion over the summer.
